Diaphragmatic Hernia
Diagnosis (Screening):
Mediastinal shift and asymetric echogenesity of the lung should be checked
up on the transverse section of the thorax (near four-chamber view).
differential diagnosis: cystic lung disease
Definitive diagnosis:
On the sagittal section of the thorax and abdomen, defects of the diaphragm
or the continuity of herniated organs through diaphragm may be identified.

Associated cases with severe chromosomal anomalies (13- and 18-trisomy),
severe fetal hydrops, pulmonary hypoplasia due to urethral atresia and bilateral
renal agenesis etc, hypoplastic left heart syndrome, severe CNS disorders
are contra-indication.
